Picasa is a digital photo management tool from Google that helps organize, edit, improve and share photo albums. Upon startup the program can locate all your photos on your PC. You can group photos, create collages and slideshows. New photos can be added from the camera with one click. Favorite photos can be tagged and starred, unsuccessful photos can be fine tuned and improved. You can add captions to your photos, publish online and share with your friends. Most importantly, you can easily backup your photos and archive them in an organized manner.
